General Info

Tucked away in the charming streets of Dolus-d’Oléron, La Galicrêpe feels like the kind of place you stumble upon and instantly want to linger. This cozy creperie has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes it ideal for a laid-back lunch, whether you’re traveling with family or just exploring the local area. From the moment you step inside, the seating arrangement feels comfortable and unpretentious, and the presence of a kids’ menu makes it clear that everyone is welcome here. The menu itself is where things really start to shine, offering a delightful range of sweet and savory crepes that reflect the essence of a traditional French creperie while still feeling fresh and indulgent.

One of the standout choices is the Crêpe la Bretonne Pommes Caramel Beurre Salé Et Glace Caramel, which layers warm apples, rich salted butter caramel, and smooth caramel ice cream into a perfectly balanced treat. It’s the kind of dish that captures attention immediately, both for its flavor and its comforting presentation. Then there’s the Crêpe la Meringuette, lighter in texture but equally satisfying, offering a sweet contrast that keeps things interesting. For something a bit more playful, the Crêpe Bateau brings a creative twist to the table, making it a popular pick among visitors looking for something visually appealing as well as delicious.

Beyond the food, the overall experience feels thoughtfully put together. The restaurant offers practical amenities like a restroom and catering services, which add convenience whether you’re dining in or planning something special. Service flows smoothly, and even during busier lunch hours, the atmosphere remains easygoing rather than rushed. Reviews from visitors often highlight how approachable the menu is, with options that suit both adventurous eaters and those who prefer familiar flavors.

What makes La Galicrêpe memorable isn’t just the food, but the way everything comes together-the location, the comforting menu, and the relaxed energy that encourages you to slow down and enjoy each bite.

What customers say?

“ Very tasty savory or sweet crepes(pancakes). Savory ones made with buckwheat. I had the Super Complete fried egg ham mushroom and tomato followed by a lemon and sugar. Cider served in cups Breton style. Good service quickly served and reasonable price. Set menus are the best value ”

“ Late for dinner after a long stroll to the La Brée mill and the Chassiron lighthouse, I discovered this Breton crêperie, but the small dining room was full. There was one spot left on the terrace, and I waited a bit for one to become available. A short while later, the friendly owner invited me inside "into the warmth." After an aperitif, there was no wait for the following dishes, and it was a real treat. Being accustomed to Brittany and its specialties, the island was a complete change of scenery. The products were impeccably fresh and wonderfully cooked, right down to the dessert. It was perfect, served with a smile and a commitment to customer satisfaction. As an aside, I had forgotten to buy my bread for breakfast, and I left with a few slices that were a real help. The service exceeded my expectations. Arriving last, I even closed the door after discussing it with the owner. This is an address to remember and share without hesitation, but book even in the off-season. Having vacationed on the island every year since 1972, I'll definitely return to this great place. Thank you and good luck to this establishment. ”

“ A friendly, family atmosphere, a small dining room, good food, and a very warm welcome. That sums it up perfectly. Be sure to book in advance. They offer 100% buckwheat galettes, and buckwheat is also available for dessert (for those with gluten intolerance). We thoroughly enjoyed it! ”

“ During a motorcycle stop, we discovered GALICREPE, a true gem where culinary magic happens with every bite. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome. The decor, imbued with cleanliness and charm, invites relaxation. The smiling owner, a true ambassador of hospitality, greets you with a helpfulness that makes you want to linger. But it's on the plate that GALICREPE truly shines. The generously filled crepes are veritable works of art, crafted with impeccably fresh ingredients. Each bite transports the diner on a journey of flavors, where subtlety and richness combine perfectly. A culinary experience that awakens the senses and leaves an unforgettable memory (the highlight is the meringue, whose lemon cream is pure bliss). Let your taste buds escape to a world of delights. We would gladly return on our next visit to Oléron. ”
